Now with equal pay prints and this little moment of bling:
Happy 50th Anniversary of the Equal Pay Act! (sort of). Here are some sobering visuals: For every dollar earned by a white man in America, a white woman earns, on average, 77 cents, a black woman earns 69 cents, and a Latina woman earns 57 cents. (Infographic by the lovely Emily Nemens for LeanIn.Org.)
Glad to be lending the ladies to the Lean In Foundation to illustrate this important anniversary. And to make a point of how far we gotta go…
Updated infographic. A couple of resignations and special elections later, one more lady Democrat (Rep. Robin Kelly), one less Republican (Rep. Jo Ann Emerson).

A few updates.
Rep. Robin Kelly, Democrat - Illinois’ 2nd Congressional District
Special election April 9 to replace Jesse Jackson, Jr. Defeated Paul McKinley, Green Party candidate LeAlan Jones, and Independents Curtiss Bey, Marcus Lewis and Elizabeth Pahlke.
The February Democratic primary was the big race in this election, complete with Independence USA (aka Bloomberg) donations.
Better late than never! Belated painting of the newest woman of the 113th, Chicago Dem. Robin Kelly. Welcome!
A belated thanks to .@EmilyNemens for http://womenofthe112th.tumblr.com/ from last weeks #click3! #innersLast week my paintings were on natn’l TV, and it took my ex’s friend’s fiancee watching MSNBC in ET for me to find out. One week, one tweet later, finally got my shout out. Thanks CH, that’s better.
PS. I’m not done painting, I’m just prepping for 6/10/13. Big anniversary!
The 113th Congress’s record-setting number of women representatives is an inspiration to many Americans that gender inequality in Washington is slowly declining.First time I’ve seen the word pictograph since middle school math.
Some more press. Thanks, Fast.Co!
Throw pillows! Snuggle up with the Senate! Fill your house with the House!
This first one, featuring my watercolor portrait of Rep. Michele Bachmann is kind of creepy, kind of wonderful, and likely the strangest thing I’ve ever made. I’ll be adding more posters and pillows soon.
More merch soon!
Bring the women home!
I’ve just set up a Society6 page to feature the Women of the 112th and 113th. Click on over to society6.com/Womenofthe113th to get art prints, framed, or canvas versions of the women of Congress.
I’ve started with the infographic that everyone’s been buzzing about (including HuffPo this afternoon), but more coming soon! I’ve got plans to make throw pillows (“Get cozy with the Congress”).
And thanks for supporting my art, both on the internet and by buying the real deal. If you don’t see what you want up at the store, send me a request.
The All In with Chris Hayes team puts out a daily call to the Twitter and Facebook communities for the “awesomest things” they encountered on the Internet.Super stoked that my infographic made it all the way to MSNBC and Chris Hayes (second coolest thing on the internet).
That happened.
